More the blog yer used to

I wasn't too keen on this idea, but I thought it for the best. My blog was growing (actually the last thing I would contribute to on this page) and it was starting to look like it needed a new home. Sure, what I had was fine, so I thought. Its downsides were that nobody could comment on individual posts. Instead, the options were to post in the guestbook (nothing wrong with that) or tell me in person what they thought.

So I ended up moving my entire blog over to fibbef.blogspot.com. It's a little more organised. But please, don't stop coming here. There's too much fun going on. For instance, I'm pushing myself to start doing more 5-Day Impressions. Fun, right?

My mission: I ACCEPT!

This summer, on the 26th of July, I will be traveling with members of my church to Tijuana, Mexico on a mission project. Our mission: to build small houses for people living on the streets of Tijuana, thus sharing the grace and love of God through our actions. I'm very excited about this trip and I need all the prayer and support I can get! ¡Vamos a Mexico!

World's Cutest Tennis Balls

I recently have "made" some new friends (not the worst pun you're about to read in this entry), in the form of not quite a dozen regular tennis balls. But these particular balls have style, charisma, panache. They've got adorable smiles on each and every one of them! If you'd like to try playing tennis with these little friends, but are unsure if they are right for you, they have personally assured me that they are a perfect "match" for any player. In fact, they are more than happy to "serve" you. Admittedly, they do make a bit of a "racket", but you can't help but "love" these wonderful little creatures!

Goodbye Heath

This news is already a week old, but I'm not entirely on top of my game. Heath Ledger, star of the upcoming movie "The Dark Knight" was found dead in his apartment in New York on January 22. I haven't yet begun scouring the internet to see whether Warner Bros. will release the movie this summer as scheduled or not. Here is an interesting thought, and I know I'm not the only one to have it: viral advertising is growing and the promoters of this film have taken that almost to the extreme with all the cool websites they have made as well as all the fun they had at Comic-Con '07. Is Ledger's apparent death a ploy to spark interest in the film? Might we see the man "risen from the dead" at the film's premier? Personally, I would love it. I'm a little sad at missing the crazy insult that was Andy Kaufman, so I think a fake Hollywood death would be a lot of fun!
But because that probably is not the case, may Ledger rest in peace.

ROBOT GUITAR

Here's something you seriously need to check out if you are a fan of things classified as cool. On December 7, 2007 Gibson has released their "Robot Guitar", a self-tuning piece of wonder and amazement. The tagline for this guitar is "All you have to do is play it." It looks truly awesome, but check out the youtube video at this link to see for yourself: Robot Guitar.
